    0920: Full-time in Shizuoka, where Russia crash out after a dramatic 3-2 defeat to Belgium. Their late goals ensure second spot in the group and a meeting with Brazil in the second round.

    0919: Japan have won in Osaka, where their 2-0 win over Tunisia guarantees top spot for themselves in Group H. They will now meet Turkey in the last 16.

    0918: Alexander Kerzhakov sees his far-post header go over the bar from a good position. Is that Russia's last chance?

    0917: Three minutes of added-time in Shizuoka. Will there be a dramatic finale for Russia and Belgium with a late goal?

    0916: It is all Russia now as they search for a dramatic late levelling goal that would take them past Belgium and into the second round.

    0915: GOAL SYCHEV - Game on in Shizuoka as the young striker curls a neat finish past de Vlieger to make it 3-2 in the favour of Belgium. Is it too late for them to level?

    0914: A free-kick from Tunisian substitute Beya drifts just over the angle of post and bar with goalkeeper Narazaki struggling with his position.

    0913: As the clock runs down on the Group H action, Japan and Belgium are cruising now into last-16 meetings against Turkey and Brazil, respectively.

    0907: GOAL WILMOTS - Belgium are now heading into the last 16 as Wilmots collects a short pass from Bart Goor, before lashing home a deflected effort past Nigmatullin. It's Belgium 3 Russia 1.

    0906: Badra collects a booking for Tunisia as he fouls Suzuki.

    0905: Now it is Russia who are in desperate need of scoring to reach the second round.

    0904: As things stand now, Belgium are joining Japan in the second round for a last-16 meeting with Brazil.

    0903: GOAL SONCK - The substitute meets substitute Timmy Simons' free-kick out on the left and he powers home a near-post header to send the Belgian side into raptures.

    0902: The Osaka stadium is truly rocking now as Japan can no look forward to a second-round match-up with Turkey.

    0900: GOAL HIDETOSHI NAKATA - The Parma player powers a header past Boumnijel to send Japan into the second round. That leaves Philippe Troussier's side 2-0 up on Tunisia and set for top spot in Group H.

    0859: Egor Titov squares the ball across the Belgian six-yard box when he could have shot himself. No Russian player is able to reach the ball though, as it runs out agonisingly for a free-kick.

    0858: Russia have a free-kick deep inside the Belgian half, but Glen De Boeck gets his boot to the ball and hacks upfield.

    0857: A change from Belgium as Wesley Sonck comes on to take the place of Mpenza.

    0856: We now only have around 20 minutes left in both games with Belgium the team in most need of a goal to progress at the moment.

    0855: A rare corner to Tunisia as Miyamoto turns the ball behind.

    0852: Hidetoshi Nakata fires in a free-kick from 35 yards out, but his spiralling effort fails to test Boumnijel.

    0851: A neatly-worked free-kick from Japan ends with Ono heading down on target, but Boumnijel fists his attempt away from goal.

    0850: Hidetoshi Nakata breaks down the right, but his cross is disappointing and Russia are able to clear their lines.

    0847: As play in the game between Russia and Belgium switches from end to end, Vanderhaeghe shoots from 20 yards out. Nigmatullin gets his body behind the effort and saves it well.

    0846: Russia counter with great pace. Sychev's pace earns him the space to cross towards Beschastnykh, but his header from 13 yards out flies wide of de Vlieger's goal. A real chance for Russia.

    0844: A corner for Belgium, but they are unable to make their pressure count.

    0843: It's a stunning atmosphere in Osaka where the Japanese supporters are going wild now that their team have hit the front. However, Tunisia are playing their part in an entertaining encounter.

    0841: Russia are now pressing Belgium back and Waseige's team could now be heading out of the tournament.

    0840: The Group H standings continue to shift and now it is Russia who would be joining Japan in the second round as runners-up in the group. Belgium must score again.

    0839: Great drama in both games as first Walem sees his shot from nine yards fly into the side-netting, before Japanese goalscorer Morashima hits the post with a neat flicked effort.

    0837: GOAL BESCHASTNYKH - Substitute Sychev breaks through and sees his shot blasted into goalkeeper de Vlieger. Beschastnykh is on hand to volley the rebound in from ten yards out.

    0836: The Group H standings now see Japan on top and set for a last-16 game against Turkey, whilst Belgium are heading for a match-up with Brazil as they lead Russia.

    0834: GOAL MORASHIMA - The substitute makes an immediate impact as Japan hit the front in Osaka to send the crowd wild. Morashima collects the ball inside the Tunisian box and lashes a first-time shot past Boumnijel from 14 yards out to put Japan on course for the second round.

    0833: Wilmots does well to spin and fire in a shot that flies wide of Nigmatullin's goal.

    0832: Russia must score during this half to have a chance of advancing from Group H, whilst Tunisia need to beat Japan by two clear goals to have a chance of progressing.

    0831: Substitutions during the break from both Japan and Tunisia. Mourad Melki is replaced by Zoubier Beya, whilst Hiroaki Morishima and Daisuke Ichikawa come on for Yanagisawa and Inamoto of Japan. No changes for either Belgium or Russia.

    0816: Half-time in both matches with Belgium 1-0 up on Russia and Japan still level with Tunisia. As things stand in Group H, both Belgium and Japan would progress to the last 16 with Waseige's side topping the standings.

    0815: Kazuyuki Toda challenges Trabelsi in the Japanese penalty box, but as the Tunisian goes to ground all to easily, no penalty is the decision.

    0814: Khaled Badra rises to meet a corner from Slim Ben Achour but he directs his cross well wide of the Japanese goal.

    0813: A real chance for Verheyen is put to waste by Belgium as a deep cross picks out the forward at the back post, but he blasts the ball disappointingly over the bar.

    0812: Dmitri Sennikov takes over from the injured Yuri Nikiforov as Russia are forced into another change in personnel.

    0811: Russian coach Romantsev looks poised to make a second substitution - before half-time.

    0810: A late challenge by Trabelsi on Takayuki Suzuki sees Japan win a free-kick with the defender earning a lecture from French referee Gilles Veissiere.

    0809: Wilmots flicks a long ball on to Gert Verheyen, but his attempted lob goes agonisingly wide of goal with Nigmatullin struggling in the Russian goal.

    0808: A yellow card to Yves Vanderhaeghe for a trip on Dmitri Khokhlov.

    0807: As the clock continues to run down on the first period, Tunisia fire in a rare attempt on Seigo Narazaki's goal through Jaziri, but it spirals well wide.

    0806: Wilmots is back on the field for Belgium and they do well to keep out a dangerous cross from Karpin.

    0805: Whilst Belgium are down to ten men temporarily in Shizuoka, Japan have a corner in Osaka. Ono's cross is good, but Boumnijel does well to punch away.

    0804: Wilmots is down with an injury to concern Belgium coach Robert Waseige. The Schalke man is stretchered from the field of play.

    0803: An early substitution from Russia as coach Oleg Romantsev looks to shake things up. Smertin comes off and is replaced by young forward Dmitry Sychev.

    0802: Yanagisawa fires in a good shot on target from 23 yards out, but Boumnijel is equal to it as he dives low to his left.

    0801: Good possession from Japan, but they are finding a tough match-up with a resolute Tunisian defence.

    0800: Neither match is yet to really catch fire, but Belgium and Japan supporters won't be complaining.
