OLIVER KAHN'T PUT ME OFF - SANTA CRUZ

By David Anderson, PA Sport, Seogwipo

Paraguay striker Roque Santa Cruz is willing to risk being banned from the Bayern Munich dressing room by scoring against Germany in their World Cup second-round match.

Germany goalkeeper and Bayern team-mate Oliver Kahn has joked that the rest of the players will not let Santa Cruz into the changing room if he scores.

Santa Cruz smiled when he heard Kahn's 'threat' and he says it will not put him off trying to find the back of the net in the Jeju World Cup stadium.

"I hope it's a joke because I will do my best to score a goal," he said.

"It's going to be interesting playing against the players I know so well.

"I hope I can score against Oliver and that would be a great moment for me.

"I suppose it is an advantage that I know him, but then it's also an advantage for him that he knows what I'm like too.

"I'm really looking forward to the game and I want to show the players, the press and the whole country why I'm playing in Germany."

While Paraguay have Santa Cruz, Germany have Miroslav Klose and Santa Cruz is full of respect for the Kaiserslautern striker who has scored five goals already in the tournament.

"I know he's very dangerous for any defence and he can change the game in one instant," he said.

"We must take care of him, but at the same time we mustn't be scared of him.

"We just must make sure he can't play his normal football."
