Belgium coach Robert Waseige wants his side to go straight for the jugular
when they face Tunisia in Oita on Monday.
After drawing their opening match against co-hosts Japan, the Red Devils will
be keen to end a run of five games without a victory at World Cup finals.
"We must impose ourselves on the game very quickly," said Waseige. "If we
don't and then don't win, we have a problem."
But the 62-year-old coach is keen that his players do not underestimate the
challenge from Tunisia despite the fact the Africans opened their campaign with
a 2-0 defeat against Russia.
"We have to show some respect for Tunisia," he said.
"They are technically very good and although they haven't had the best of
times in the past couple of months, they will be a tough proposition."
Waseige has hinted he may make changes following the 2-2 stalemate against the
Japanese, with striker Mbo Mpenza fearing he will miss out.
"I'm not sure where I will play or even if I will play - but that's not
important," he said.
"If I am not playing it will be a pity, but that doesn't mean my life is
finished. The most important thing is to win."
Tunisia, meanwhile, had held their own against Russia before two individual
errors proved costly.
Goalkeeper Ali Boumnijel gifted the first following a poor throw, while Radhi
Jaidi's mistimed tackle gave away the penalty for the second.
But forward Ali Zitouni has vowed to make up for a below-par performance.
"I didn't manage to score a goal in the last match against Russia so this
time I want to score," he said.
"I promise I will play a good match tomorrow as it is very important for us
to qualify for the next round."
