Rene Henriksen is an immense physical presence which brings some much needed strength to the Danish back four.

He played a leading role in helping Panathinaikos reach the last eight of the UEFA Champions League and his experiences in Greece make him well accustomed to the humid conditions Denmark will encounter in Korea and Japan.

He is a powerful central defender with aerial prowess at set pieces and has good passing ability.

Henriksen was one of the first names on Morten Olsen's teamsheet for the World Cup qualifying campaign and with over 40 caps for his country he is one of the more experienced members of the squad.

Almost certain to start in all of Denmark's group games and will have to be at his best to stop Uruguay, Senegal and world champions France finding the net.
