Chelsea winger Jesper Gronkjaer is finally able to set his sights on the World Cup after recovering from the knee injury that has plagued his season.
He was signed by Chelsea for £7.8million in October 2000 after his former coach at Ajax Co Adriaanse complained that he was never fit.
And he was forced to wait until January 2001 to link up with his new teammates as he recovered from a thigh strain.
This season has again seen him suffer from niggling injuries but when he has played Chelsea have looked a better side.
Claudio Ranieri has opted to play Gronkjaer on the right-wing this season and his skill and pace have seen him become a fans' favourite at Stamford Bridge.
He is quite stocky for a winger but with the ability to kick with both feet he is a handful for any defender and will be one of Denmark's most dangerous players this summer.
Apart from being injury prone his only other flaw is that he can lack consistency but with the desire to prove his critics wrong he should be one player definitely worth keeping an eye on over the coming weeks.
