Teddy Lucic is one of the most experienced members of the Swedish squad after making his international debut at Goodison Park against Brazil in the 1995 Umbro Cup.
He has been a squad regular ever since and many of the younger players will look to him in times of adversity.
He is a typically hard-working Scandinavian defender who gives little away, although he does seem to struggle against players who possess raw pace.
However, he cannot be faulted in terms of effort and committment and after a disappointing spell with Bologna in Serie A he has rediscovered his best form after returning to his home country with Solna.
Whether he will start every match is open to debate but if he does the play, the man he is marking will know he has been in a game.
