Made his Mexico debut back in 1997 after impressing for UNAM in his home country.
That debut came after a setback which forced him to miss the Olympic Games of 1996.
Luna clashed with national team-mate Oswaldo Sanchez and picked up a serious knee injury.
Upon returning to fitness he was drafted back in to the national side and has become a regular squad player.
Made two appearances at France 1998 and has since moved from Club America to Necaxa.
