A regular in the national side since making his debut against Slovenia in 1997.
Began his career in his home country with NK Croatia before spells with Sporting Gijon and Dinamo Zagreb.
Got his big break in 2000 with a move to Panathinaikos and has become one of their better players, picking up experience of the Champions League in the process.
