Since making his full international debut in January 2001 against Malawi, it was not until the beginning of this World Cup year that he became a regular in the South Africa squad.
Predominantly a defensive midfielder for Cosmos, he is another relatively inexperienced member of the Bafana Bafana squad for this year's finals.
However, he is predicted to have a bright future and could well add to his current tally of nine caps in the Far East.
