of squad with two key goals, both against Holland, and string of impressive
displays in qualifiers after looking likely to become overlooked amid club
problems and two seasons of indifferent form. Merseysider formerly with Bolton,
Liverpool and Blackburn. Debut against Russia in March 1994, during latter days
of Jack Charlton's reign.
Will always be remembered for that winner at Lansdowne Road in the second game against the Dutch.
