Picture Djorkaeff - done well at Bolton (Allsport).

YOURI DJORKAEFF

Position: Midfield
Born: 03.09.68
Club: Bolton (loan)

A late-season flourish at Bolton in the English Premiership strengthened Djorkaeff's case for a World Cup call.

A veteran of the French set-up, the attacking midfielder found himself frozen out at German team Kaiserslautern after a bust-up with coach Andy Brehme.

The Bolton move ensued and gave him his first taste of English football following spells in Italy with Inter Milan, with 'Lautern in Germany and Grenoble, Strasbourg, Monaco and Paris St Germain in France.

Is looking to secure a permanent move out of Kaiserslautern this summer.

Talented player who has a good goalscoring record and is dangerous in and around the box.

Has good touch and rarely gives the ball away.

Played a prominent role in the World Cup 1998 and Euro 2000 triumphs.
