Rabiu Afolabi's main claim to fame is that he captained Nigeria in the World Youth Cup in 1999.

The strong defender did not play in Nigeria's professional league and made his debut in European football for Belgium side Standard Liege in 1997.

He has also played on loan at Napoli before returning to Liege.

Afolabi has earned the nickname Robocop for his no-nonsense defending and he looks set to add to his four caps in the Far East.
