Jiang Jin impressed at the Asian Cup (Allsport)
JIANG JIN
Position: Goalkeeper
Born: 17.10.68
Club: Tianjin Talia
Currently the undisputed number one in the Chinese side, the Tianjin Talia stopper is also widely seen as the best man to have between the sticks in Asia.
He scooped the Coca-Cola Best Goalkeeper at the Asian Cup in Lebanon after some rock-solid displays last year, and his tall frame provides an imposing presence.
The tapemeasure sees him come in at a whopping six foot six, and this statistic was clearly on his side when making a flying penalty save in the historic win over Oman that sent China to these finals.
He almost made the long trip to Dens Park to join compatriot Fan Zhiyi at Dundee late last year, but in the end, reports of a move to the Scottish Premier League were rubbished by the player.
However, don't rule out a move to Europe in the near-future for the big 'keeper, who should enhance his reputation outside Asia at the finals.
