KILY GONZALEZ
Position: Midfielder
Born: 04.08.74
Club: Valencia
When the draw for the World Cup finals was made, few people in Argentina could hide their enthusiasm for the game, especially this Valencia star.
Upon discovering that he would get the chance to take on England for the first time, he spoke of how his side now have the chance to avenge "what happened in the Falklands War".
"The England game is very special to us because of what it represents," he said in a recent interview. "It is a chance for revenge, considering the history of both countries and what happened in the Falklands War and the situation of our country."
Defeat, therefore for the former Rosario Central, Boca Juniors and Real Zaragoza man, is certainly not an option.
He will certainly provide England and any opponent he faces with a tough challenge, with his pace and tricky skills adding yet another extra dimension to the Argentine midfield.
Usually employed out on the wing, he is still often found just behind the forwards, owing to his love of powering into attacking positions.
His defensive duties take a back seat as a result, but with talents such as his, Argentine fans won't be complaining.
