Raymond Kalla will be hoping this World Cup is one to remember – having had tournaments to forget in 1994 and 1998.

Kalla was sent off in the group game against Italy in France as the Indomitable Lions crashed out in the first round.

And the strapping defender was part of the side that was not knocked out at the same stage four years previously.

But Kalla's big-game experience – which includes two African Nations Cup finals as well as his World Cup appearances - makes him a key member of the Cameroon squad and his dominant performances for club and country have earnt him rave reviews.

The only downside is that his tackling can sometimes be a little too robust and the Extremadura man has had his fair share of trouble with referees.
