Jorge Campos was a tough man to replace, but Oscar Perez has made a decent fist of becoming Mexico's number one.
Campos was the man known throughout the world for his garish shirts and flamboyant style while Perez is far more understated.
But the Cruz Azul keeper has impressed after taking hold of the shirt following Campos' fall down the pecking order.
Perez is an excellent shot-stopper with lightning reflexes and is also a confident organiser of his defence.
He may not grab the attention like his predecessor, but Mexico look to be in safe hands this summer.
