There can be no higher compliment to Roque Santa Cruz than saying he gives to Paraguay what Gabriel Batistuta gives to Argentina.
At the age of just 21, Cruz has already picked up the nickname 'Babygol' - marking him out as a younger version of the world-class 'Batigol'.
Since making his debut aged 15, Cruz has already made a move from South America to Bundesliga giants Bayern Munich.
In the intervening years, he was a revelation for the Paraguayan side at the Under-20 World Cup as well as shining for his national side during the 1999 Copa America.
Cruz has struggled to break into the Bayern first team and has been limited to rare appearances usually from the bench.
But with his eye for goal and tremendous skill with both feet, Cruz is certainly one for the future.
And the World Cup gives him the perfect chance to show Ottmar Hitzfeld he is worth a run in the Bayern first team.
