DAVID SEAMAN
Position: Goalkeeper
Born: 19.09.63
Club: Arsenal England's first-choice keeper for years is entering what is almost certainly his last major tournament at international level.
The Arsenal keeper has been beset by injury worries in recent years, and is being pressed for his place by the likes of Richard Wright and Stuart Taylor at club level.
Despite his fitness problems Seaman is still probably the best England have between the post - mainly because of the wealth of experience he possesses.
Has won championships and European trophies with Arsenal, while being England's main man in Euro 96 and France 98.
Was a hero in the former of those tournaments, thanks to key penalty saves against Spain and Scotland.
Had earlier showed his skills in stopping spot-kicks when starring in Arsenal's shootout win in Sampdoria en route to the 1995 Cup Winners' Cup final.
Became Britain's most expensive keeper when joining Arsenal from QPR in 1990 for a fee of around £1.7million.
And immediately starred behind a miserly defence as the Gunners stormed to the league title in his first season.
Has also won the FA and League Cups with the Gunners, as well as the Cup Winners' Cup in 1994.
Great shot-stopper who has great presence and gives confidence to his defence.
Sure to be first choice in the Far East, if he's fully fit.
Missed much of the early part of this season with injury.
A Yorkshireman by birth, he was released by Leeds United as a youngster and had spells with Peterborough and Birmingham before finally finding fame at Loftus Road.
