As a forward Dario Silva has it all.

Although not as high-profile as team-mate Alvaro Recoba, Silva is quick, strong and full of skill.

The Malaga attacker is also the complete team player, tracking back to do his fair share of defending and never letting defenders rest.

Silva started his career at Defensor, but it was a move to Penarol that saw him get the attention of scouts in Europe.

Thirty-five goals in three seasons saw Silva move on to Cagliari, and although the goals didn't flow as regularly as they did back home, his all-round performances won him a move to Spain .

Silva moved to Malaga in 1999, and since then has made over 50 appearances, scoring a goal every two and a half games.

With Recoba prompting behind him, it wouldn't be a surprise to see Silva be a major part of any success Uruguay have.
