Every time Gert Verheyen steps on to the field, his manager, team-mates and fans know what they are going to get.

Verheyen is a model of consistency and brings hard work and aggression to the Belgian midfield, where he usually plays on the right-hand side.

Pace is not his strong point, but he has the power and ability to get forward and send good crosses over as well as being a fearsome tackler in the middle of the park.

The Club Brugge man has also added goalscoring to his list of international credentials.

He had always been a regular scorer for his clubs sides but had failed to take that into the Belgian side until recent years.

However, three goals in their qualifying campaign show the veteran has found his range and he will be looking to build on that in the Far East.
