Ask most Newcastle fans what they think of Jon Dahl Tomasson and their reaction will be somewhere between a mild snigger and fury.
Tomasson moved to the Magpies in 1997, but a year - and only four goals - later he was farmed off to Feyenoord.
During that time Tomasson was voted worst player of the year by one fans' website after failing to settle and provide adequate support to Alan Shearer.
But five years later Tomasson has completed his recuperation and he goes into the World Cup as Ebbe Sand's partner up front for Denmark.
Tomasson netted four goals in qualifying to add to the 13 goals he scored for Feyenoord.
And rumours that he will move on in the summer failed to distract him this season as he reached double figures before Christmas.
Finally, just before the end of the season, he agreed to a four-year deal with Italian giants AC Milan.
