Tomasz Waldoch is one half of Poland's usual central defensive partnership.
Alongside Tomasz Hajto the two men present a formidable barrier to onrushing attackers.
Waldoch is comfortable on the ball and a magnificent reader of the game which makes up for his lack of pace.
He has the versatility to play at either left-back or centre-back and does not look out of place on the left side of midfield.
Since coming into the national team in 1991, Waldoch has made over 60 appearances and he will bring real experience to the Polish backline in Japan and Korea.
