Tunisia's most-capped player with over 70 appearances for the national side, Sellimi is regarded as a superstar in his home country.
Emerged in the 1996 African Nations Cup before signing for French side Nantes.
After a disappointing spell there he moved to Spain and forced his way into the Tunisian World Cup squad of 1998 with four goals in the qualifying stages.
Moved to the Bundesliga with Freiburg and has been a revelation there after a shaky start.
Was excluded from the national squad in December last year after refusing to participate in the African Nations Cup, but is likely to return for the World Cup.
