HENRI CAMARA
Position: Midfield
Born: 10.05.77
Club: Sedan
Henri Camara was first spotted by former Senegal coach Claude Le Roy, who had nurtured his talent as a youngster.
Le Roy recommended the player to Neuchatel Xamax in Switzerland, for whom he played before joining Grasshoppers Zurich in July 2000 where he won the Swiss Championship.
From there Camara went on to become the latest of Senegal's players to ply their trade in Le Championnat when he joined Sedan last August.
Camara brings width to the Senegal side and often provides the crosses on which the likes of El Hadji Diouf and Pape Thiaw capitalise.
At over six foot, Camara can look a little awkward at times, but his combination of trickery and crossing ability is a danger to any team.
Part of the Senegali squad that went all the way to the final of the African Nations Cup in February, although they were ultimately beaten by Cameroon on penalties.
