Another Slovenian with a tough work ethic and one who likes a tough challenge.
Defensive midfielder who gets in amongst it - he has been nicknamed 'Tyson' in the past. Links up well with Ales Ceh to snuff out the attacking threat of opponents, but is more creative than his team-mate.
Played for Japanese side Gamba Osaka at one time before rejoining Maribor in his home country in 1998.
A regular in qualifying, Karic, who prefers to play on the left, joined Ipswich in 2000 but failed to break into what was a winning side at the time.
Was loaned out to Crystal Palace by failed to impress there either and his World Cup hopes could have suffered due to his inactivity.
Possesses a fierce shot on the occasions he gets forward.
