Turkey defender Bulent Korkmaz has delivered a verbal volley to Ronaldo after the Brazil star accused the Galatasaray defender of punching him in their World Cup semi-final clash.
The Brazilian striker, who scored his side's only goal just after half-time in Wednesday's match, said the 33-year-old defender struck him on the top of the head after the pair had grappled for the ball.
They then squared up to each other and the incident provoked simmering bad feeling between the two sides.
Bulent, however, has refuted Ronaldo's claims, suggesting he was copying Rivaldo's play-acting in the earlier group game between the two teams.
"Ronaldo was imitating Rivaldo from the first game," Bulent told Turkish newspaper Hurriyet.
"I didn't throw a fist at him. He tried to show an action which didn't take place.
"I tried to warn him with my hand. He got it wrong.
"The referee saw this and didn't do anything, and that shows his accusations are wrong. A player should play like a man, it doesn't matter whether he is Ronaldo or not."
