South Korea's sacked World Cup star Ahn Jung Hwan
could be set for a move to Scotland.
Ahn was axed by Perugia president Luciano Gaucci after his golden goal dumped
Italy out of the competition.
The player admits he still wants to continue his career in Italy but has
already instructed his representatives to find him a new club elsewhere
including Scotland.
Scottish agent Tom Callaghan told the Daily Record: "I received a telephone
call from an agent working on Ahn Jung Hwan's behalf to see if I could find him
a Scottish club.
"After his performances at the World Cup, I don't think he would have a
problem finding a club anywhere but his representatives have told me he is
interested in British football and would seriously consider offers from
Scotland.
"I will be contacting not only Celtic and Rangers but others like Dundee
United because the player would be available on a free transfer as his contract
has been terminated.
"Clubs worried he will be looking for a fortune might also find themselves
pleasantly surprised because he was not on fantastic money in Italy."
Ahn said: "I have had loads of offers from England, Scotland and Spain but
for the time being I am thinking only of South Korea."
