Senegal coach Bruno Metsu has hailed striker
El-Hadji Diouf as a stand-out star of the World Cup.
His 21-year-old frontman, poised to join Liverpool from Lens after the finals,
has been key to Senegal's run to the quarter-finals.
And, speaking on www.lequipe.fr, Metsu enthused: "Diouf is among the high
profile players of this World Cup.
"From all the players I have seen he is really not far from being the
best."
Senegal beat Sweden with a 'golden goal' yesterday to reach the last eight in
their debut World Cup finals.
