Coach Marcelo Bielsa defiantly
claimed Argentina's World Cup flops deserved to still be in the Far East - but
as they touched down in Buenos Aires he did not want to talk about his own
future.
The eccentric Bielsa said his players had outperformed all their 'Group of
Death' opponents, despite their falling at the first hurdle.
"If we consider the results, we have to say it was a failure," he said.
"But a serious analysis, in depth, should include all the positive sides of
this team's performance.
"I feel pain because we were the best team of the group. We were superior in
the matches against England, Sweden and Nigeria, in the physical and footballing
senses.
"Except for 10 minutes against England, we always played in our opponents'
half of the pitch, as we had planned before travelling to Japan.
"There're no weak points or questions to answer."
Asked whether he would continue in his role, Bielsa added: "It's a
possibility."
