Senegal coach Bruno Metsu has admitted that the suspensions of Salif Diao and Khalilou Fadiga are causing him a headache.

The Africans face Sweden on Saturday in their second round match in Oita without two of their most important players and the French coach is working on a contingency plan.

"We are having problems," said Metsu. "We are missing at least two players with Salif (Diao) and Khalilou (Fadiga) so we are having problems.

"I will have to think about it."

The Senegalese stunned the world as they opened the tournament with a 1-0 victory over champions France and sealed their qualification with draws against Uruguay and another Scandinavian side, Denmark.

There are also doubts about right-back Ferdinand Coly who hurt a knee during the thrilling 3-3 draw against the Uruguayans.
