Russian defender Vyacheslav Daev has returned home from the World Cup after failing to recover from injury.
Daev had been included in Oleg Romantsev's squad with the hope he may recover for the final group game and, should the Russians make it, the later rounds.
But the CSKA Moscow star is still plagued by the troublesome leg injury, and departed on Tuesday without having featured in any Group H matches.
Team spokesman Viktor Gusev told Russian television: "He doesn't think he will recover from his injury soon enough.
"And in such circumstances, he doesn't think he will be able to help the team."
