Midfielder Shinji Ono is confident Japan can give the home crowd exactly what they want when the World Cup co-hosts bid to reach round two on Friday.
The Feyenoord man lines up in the side looking to secure the one point the Japanese need to progress into the last 16 for the first time.
Confidence is sky high after a spirited draw with Belgium in their opening Group H game, and the fine 1-0 win over Russia.
And hopes are rising as they prepare to take on Tunisia, who need three points to have any hope of qualifying, at the Nagai Stadium.
Certainly Ono is optimistic about progressing, and says the team know exactly what to do.
He told the Japan Times: "If we can stay focused, I think we can win the match.
"There's no game you can afford to lose. We'll play for three points and a win.
"I'm happy. The World Cup is held every four years and we've got one win and one draw, which have brought us confidence."
