Costa Rican coach Alexander Guimaraes is in
bullish mood ahead of Thursday's game against Brazil despite injury doubts over
defender Harold Wallace and midfielder Wilmer Lopez.
Wallace received a knock against China and despite playing against Turkey
is still bothered by the problem.
Lopez has had a thigh problem since the Turkey game.
"We have 23 players here ready to play," Guimaraes said.
"As a team, we're in condition to face any rival in the world.
"We'll have to be very focused, with order in defence. In any moment we will
counterattack with our fast and strong players."
Costa Rica gave themselves a shot in the arm in Group C by scoring a late goal
against Turkey to claim a draw and climb to second in the group.
With Turkey expected to beat China, the pressure is on for Costa Rica to claim
at least a draw against the four-time winners of the competition.
