Denmark coach Morten Olsen believes the World
Cup favourites are being given an unfair advantage with their kick-off times in
Japan and Korea.
Olsen has criticised organisers for giving teams like France and Germany more
evening games, whilst his side have only had afternoon games when the heat is at
its worst.
All three of Germany's group games have been are scheduled for an evening
kick-off and both of France's opening games took place at night.
Argentina and Brazil have had one game at night, whereas Italy will have had
two when they complete their Group G fixtures.
Olsen told Berlingske Tidende: "Only yesterday I realised that Germany play
all their three group matches at night.
"It's completely crazy and has nothing to do with fair play when the
tournament is held in a heat like here in Japan and Korea.
"I'm sorry to say that we can do nothing about it.
"But it's not right that big nations like Germany hold so much power they can
dictate that they want to play all their matches at night.
"It's crazy when there is so much difference when you play in the
afternoon."
Ironically, Olsen's criticism may work in Denmark's favour.
They meet the French tomorrow for an afternoon kick-off needing just a point
to go through and knock the defending champions out.
The Danes have experience playing matches in such intense heat, whereas Roger
Lemerre's side have not.
