Young midfielder Slim Ben Achour insists Tunisia will not go out of the World Cup without a fight.

The Paris-born player, currently with French club Martigues, warned Belgium ahead of Monday's meeting of the teams that Tunisia have learnt lessons from their opening 2-0 defeat by Russia.

"We will certainly be forced to pressurise Belgium more than we did Russia," the 20-year-old told Tunis newspaper La Presse.

"There's no choice because the result is all important."

The former Paris St Germain player added that the squad's spirit was still positive and that they should not be discounted easily.

"The team very quickly calmed down after the Russia game, which is proof of our cohesion and our ambition," he argued.

"Our intent is to stay here, and even if that appears difficult, we will have to lay to our potential to do that, playing confidently.

"Nobody should doubt the importance of the game. Taking risks would show our intent.

"In certain phases of our last match, that was the difference."

But Ben Achour admitted that the Tunisians need to improve, especially in attack.

"Making and taking chances counts at this high level of competition," he said, "because you have very few favourable situations to exploit.

"But we need to speed up play when attacking, anticipate quicker in defence and play."
