Jesus Arellano and Johan Rodriguez should return
for Mexico's Group G clash with Ecuador on Sunday.
The midfield duo were suspended after dismissals in the qualifiers but they
return to Javier Aguirre's plans after missing the 1-0 win over Croatia.
Sigifredo Mercado and Argentine-born Gabriel Caballero are expected to step
down in their place.
"With them we will add depth in midfield," said Aguirre.
"We may lose other things but we have to win. We're forced into that because
no other result is good for us.
"Ecuador are a very tough team, very solid.
"They have a very clear style and they will look for victory."
Aguirre has two playmakers returning but the opponents lack influential
schemer Alex Aguinaga, who was injured in their opening defeat to Italy.
However, Aguirre, who will link up with Spanish club Osasuna next season,
remained cautious.
"They will miss a great player like Aguinaga but Ivan Kaviedes and Agustin
Delgado are very dangerous forwards of international class."
The North and South Americans have met twice before in competitive games.
Mexico have won both previous games, 2-0 in the 1993 Copa America and 4-3 on
penalties in the 1997 edition.
