Saudi Arabia captain Sami Al-Jaber was rushed to
hopsital in Tokyo with appendicitis.
Al-Jaber was rushed to hospital early on Saturday and will now miss the Saudis'
final Group D game against Ireland.
The 29-year-old, who has scored 53 goals in 150 games, played in the 8-0
defeat to Germany but missed the 1-0 loss to Cameroon through knee injury.
The Al-Hilal striker, who spent a season with English club Wolves, is to
retire from international football after the World Cup.
His replacement for the Cameroon match, Obaid Al Dosary, will also miss the
Ireland game through knee injury.
Al Dosary was replaced after just 33 minutes against the Olympic and African
champions.
