After battling out a goalless draw against current
world and European Champions France, Uruguay have returned to their training
ground knowing that only a win against Senegal will give them a chance of
progressing into the latter stages of the World Cup.
The South Americans must take three points from Tuesday's match in Suwon to
qualify for the second round, as any other result will eliminate them from the
World Cup.
Midfield duo Pablo Garcia and Marcelo Romero both ended the match against the
French with knocks but according to team reports it is nothing too serious and
they will be fit to play against the African side.
Another midfielder, Nicolas Olivera, is also expected to be available and so
the only doubt for coach Victor Pua is Fabian O'Neill who is suffering from
tendonitis.
"We still have a chance and we will give it our best," said Pua.
