Ecuador coach Hernan Dario Gomez believes
Sunday's rivals Mexico will be just as tough an opponent as Italy.
However, the Colombian admitted the pressure on his players would not be so
great as the stress of making their first appearance in the World Cup finals was
over.
"We have already played Italy, but nobody has to think that the next one is
easy.
"It's as hard as the first one, but we won't have all the anxiety," Gomez
said.
"It will be a very even match, because both teams are similar, we can all
make the same mistakes."
Despite having already lost to the Azzurri, Gomez reckons a draw may be enough
to see them through but he warned: "The only vital thing is not losing."
He added: "Mexico have a lot of skills and are a hard team to face."
Gomez has decided to play Ivan Kaviedes in place of the injured Alex Aguinaga,
and will use Marlon Ayovi in the midfield instead of Alfonso Obregon.
According to the coach, Kaviedes will provide more offensive power than
Aguinaga, while Ayovi will give Ecuador a greater physical presence, something
he considers key in this World Cup.
