Belgium coach Robert Waseige has been boosted by the news that influential defender Glen de Boeck should be fit for Monday's clash with Tunisia.

De Boeck returned to training after suffering a heel problem and is expected to line up in the crucial Group H clash in Oita.

Left-back Nico van Kerckhoven is also hopeful of taking part after his pulled hamstring looked to be healing faster then expected.

"Glen de Boeck is back in training. There is still some pain in his foot but he should be okay," said a Belgian spokesman.

Belgium are second in Group H on goal difference after their opening 2-2 draw with co-hosts Japan.
