Italy playmaker Francesco Totti may have set up
the Azzurri's first goal in their victory over Ecuador but he claims his form is
not at its peak.
Totti, who had a gruelling campaign with Roma in Serie A, was substituted in
the second half as Alessandro del Piero was given some time to make an
impression.
Captain Totti will be in the line-up to face Croatia.
"Now I am well, physically and mentally, but I am not at my best," he told
Gazzetta dello Sport.
"But I will be soon."
Italy coach Giovanni Trapattoni is set to return to a classic 3-4-1-2
formation for Italy's second World Cup game against Croatia on June 8.
The Azzurri played against Ecuador with a 4-4-2 formation, a change for
Trapattoni, who did not have striker Filippo Inzaghi available due to injury.
Inzaghi is set to return for the game against Croatia and play up front
alongside Inter Milan hitman Christian Vieri with Totti in support behind the
attacking line.
