Tunisia coach Ammar Souayah should have the luxury
of a full squad to pick from when the Africans take on Russia in the opening
World Cup match in Kobe on Wednesday.
His two major concerns were in midfield and in defence, where he had been
waiting on the recovery of two key players.
However, both Emir Mkademi and Slim Ben Achour have been cleared of their
problems and should be available.
Defender Mkademi was taken to hospital on Sunday evening suffering from what
was thought to be appendicitis but scans revealed just an intestinal infection.
French-based midfielder Ben Achour is suffering from slight bruising but is
expected to be named in the starting line-up.
The Tunisian squad arrived in Kobe yesterday evening ahead of their match
against Russia.
The clash will be the first official engagement for the Kobe Wing Stadium,
which was finished last October in a city devastated by an earthquake in 1995.
