Stig Tofting raised hopes that he will be fit for
Denmark's Group A clash with Senegal on Thursday when he took part in training on Tuesday.
The Bolton midfielder injured his left foot during the second half of the
Danes' 2-1 win over Uruguay and, although he was able to complete the match,
there were post-match fears that he had broken a bone.
But Tofting was able to train for almost an hour in Namhae and is likely
to be fit in time for the Daegu match against France's conquerors.
However, Peter Madsen was forced to miss the
whole of the training session after picking up a knee injury.
The 24-year-old striker suffered the injury at the end of Monday's session.
Team doctor Mogens Kreutzfeld says the player has twisted his right knee and
is in some pain.
"A twist like this always causes discomfort. It's one of those injuries that
needs checking from day to day," Kreutzfeld told Ekstra Bladet.
Madsen will undergo tests to assess his fitness for
the match against Senegal.
