Sweden suffered a blow on the eve of their World
Cup opener against England when captain Patrik Andersson was forced out of
training.
The Barcelona central defender fell to the ground and had his left thigh
bandaged after examination by team doctor Anders Valentin.
Should Andersson miss out, coaches Tommy Soderberg and Lars Lagerback would be
expected to play Andreas Jacobsson alongside Olof Mellberg.
There was no immediate news on how serious Andersson's injury was.
