Mexican coach Javier Aguirre has another midfield injury problem, after Gerardo Torrado suffered a knee injury during Saturday's training.

Torrado was cleared of any serious damage to the joint, but the incident comes just two days after another midfielder, Rafael Garcia, was also injured in training.

But Torrado is comfortable that he will not be ruled out of Mexico's opening match against Croatia, a fate which is looming for Garcia.

"I had a pain in the knee, but I talked to the doctor, and it doesn't seem to be serious. We'll see tomorrow," Torrado said on Saturday.

Aguirre ordered another training session on Saturday, which was off-limits to the media, to test and work on his tactics for the against encounter with Croatia.

"He hasn't announced yet who will be the starters," Torrado said.

As well as Croatia, Mexico are drawn with Italy and Ecuador in Group G.
