Uruguay expect to have star attacker Alvaro Recoba fit for their opening World Cup game with Denmark on June 1.
The 26-year-old was considered doubtful after picking up an injury in training.
But the Inter Milan star has told his club's official website that he will be ready for Saturday's clash.
"I received a hit in training but missed out on Tuesday's session only as a precaution," he told www.intermilan.it.
"I have had all the tests and some treatment and I feel a lot less pain now.
"I will make my World Cup debut against Denmark," he added confidently.
