There are 11 captains in Mexico's World Cup squad, according to midfielder Gerado Torrado.
"We are all important in (coach) Javier Aguirre's scheme and everyone wants to give their grain of sand," said Torrado, who plays for Primera Liga side Sevilla. "We have 11 leaders.
"Personally, I will try to give everything I can to beat Croatia, then Ecuador and then Italy."
Torrado started the season playing for Spanish second divison side Polideportivo Ejido before moving to Sevilla when the transfer market opened over the Christmas period.
Now his season has ended with a ticket to theWorld Cup.
"It is a dream come true," he said. "When I was a boy, I used to think it was so far away, so it's something I really have to enjoy and try to take advantage of," he said.
As for the possibility of starting against the Croats, he said: "You always dream about it, but Javier (Aguirre) is the one who decides.Whoever goes out on the pitch on Sunday will do their best for Mexico."
