South Korea have put out the welcome mat for
former Argentina superstar Diego Maradona to watch the World Cup there after
Japanese authorities refused him a visa.
A Korean Justice Department spokesman said: "We have accepted his request as
we are much more flexible than Japan in such issues.
"Such a star will not be in danger with us."
Maradona attacked the Japanese authorities for refusing him entry to the Land
of the Rising Sun.
"I have accepted their law, although I did not kill anyone and I did not
throw any car bombs either," said the two-time World Cup winner.
