China coach Bora Milutinovic believes his side are
involved in a three-horse race for second place in Group C behind Brazil.
The Serbian, who will be travelling to his fifth World Cup in a row with his
fifth different team, has already written off top spot in the group behind the
South Americans.
"To qualify for the second round we have to defeat Turkey and Costa Rica,
because Brazil are already qualified," said the 57-year-old.
However, Milutinovic admits he and his side cannot fail on China's first foray
into the finals.
"We can't fail. We're already the World Champions because we arrived here,"
he added.
"The teams that haven't qualified have failed. We've already won."
Milutinovic also claimed he is happy that the likes of Brazilian superstar
Ronaldo are fit to grace the Far East and threaten his side's success in the
process.
"I'm happy that he (Ronaldo) is here. He gives shine to the World Cup. All
World Cups should have the best players," he added.
"Ronaldo doesn't worry me too much. My biggest concerns are Costa Rica and
Turkey - and that all my players arrive in good condition at the World Cup."
At their first training session in South Korea, Milutinovic was greeted by the
news that defender Fan Zhiyi, midfielder Qi Hong and forward Hao Haidong had
returned for a light workout.
All are expected to be fit to face Costa Rica in the opening match on June 4.
