Saudi Arabia's team manager is confident they can progress beyond the group stage at the World Cup finals.

Prince Turki Bin Chalid maintains qualifying from a group which contains Cameroon, Germany and the Republic of Ireland is far from impossible.

"I wouldn't consider us the weakest team in the group, Bin Chalid said.

"To defeat us, the others will have to play at their best, and us below our possibilities.

Saudi Arabia are the first Arabic team to qualify for three World Cup finals.

They qualified for the second round in 1994 with repeating that success the target this time around.

"The players can't wait for the World Cup to begin. All our faith is in them. We want to show our football to the entire world."
